MyHeadlines: Getting Started

I am going to assume you have installed the MyHeadlines module according to the install.txt file that was included with the package.

1. Please log in to your MyHeadlines module as the administrator. This will enable the “Administration” menu item.

2. Click on the “Administration” link in the menu.

3. Since this is a brand new install there are no headline sources in the category tree. In fact there is no category tree either. You have the opportunity to build your own tree full of headline sources, but it is much easier to import the ones bundled with MyHeadlines. Click the “Import” link under the Administration menu item.

4. Select a file to import from the pull down menu and then click the “Import” Button. You may import as many files as you want. You may also remove all imported items from a particular import file by clicking the associated “Remove” button.

5. Click the Done button. MyHeadlines is now ready for users to start adding to their subscriptions.
